On August 17th, 2016 I began a photo project that when complete (on February 5, 2017) will collect daily snapshots spanning almost six months and three seasons. I planned to make a photograph each day for one hundred and seventy-two days. Why? To celebrate my seventh year of being cancer-free.
When I began to purposefully step outside each day it was the end of summer - everything was very much alive and thriving. Now, it is mid-December. And everything is still beautiful.
It is fascinating to see one's own landscape subtly change before one's eyes. Stepping into my own backyard each day - with purpose - is proving to be an amazing experience.
