You will recognize your own path when you come upon it because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need.
— Sara Teasdale, American poet (1884 - 1933)

In the previous year I stepped outside my comfort zone. And, I learned I felt uncomfortable. Is it always wise to step outside one's comfort zone? I've always believed the phrase implied that such a bold move results in triumph. Living boldly does not suit me.

What suits me? Staying close to home...and to the people I hold dear to my heart. Although my attempts at interacting with society at-large were not a dismal failure I was out of my element. When not with family, I prefer the company of trees. Of wildflowers. Of fungi. Of mosses and lichens. And of the wee roly-polies and millipedes who ramble through my flowerbeds.

I am recognizing my own path. More on this later...
