We’ve been busy. On Friday we made time to take a walk in the woods. We returned to a place that at one time, we frequented almost weekly. Bellaire Woods. On this day the place felt a bit foreign to me. I’ve become such a homebody, being on a trail and following spray-painted trail marks felt odd. And, unnatural.

The rue anemone growing alongside the path, the Solomon’s seal, the may-apples and jacks-in-the-pulpit…grow in our woodland garden. Millipedes, spiders, beetles and toads, they reside in our backyard, too. We created our own Paradise.
I hear people talk about humankind killing the Earth. Humans are arrogant…long, long after the last homo sapiens walk this earth, there will be the sun, the water, the falling leaves. ♥
